Electrician

Job Location: Lake City, FL

Job Summary: Performs on-site or in-house installation, servicing and/or repair of equipment. This job may include any aspect of field support and installation including: troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment, systems, and wiring; installation of equipment; upgrades, modifications, programming; documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Installation of electrical components of transportation systems, including the following:
    • Intelligent transportation systems (ITS)
    • Traffic signals
  • Install electrical and data conductor.
  • Install conduit and pull boxes.
  • Install poles and foundations.
  • Install component and system grounding and surge protection.
  • Responsible for training and providing technical support to less experienced electricians.
  • Acts in a supervisory role when needed.
  • Responds to corrective maintenance requests within contract time frame.
  • Restores equipment to operational status as quickly as possible.
  • Completes reports, logs and performs shift-to-shift communications in accordance with established policies, procedures and local practices.
  • Work with technical team on advanced and intermittent technical issues.
  • Field test of units or components.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school or combination of training and work experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 4 – 6 years of related experience.
  • Florida Journeyman Electrician Certification/Card or better required.
  • IMSA Level II Traffic Signal Technician a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Current Class A or B License a plus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist in installation of electrical components of transportation systems, including the following:
    • Intelligent transportation systems (ITS)
    • Traffic signals
  • Assist in installation and wiring of electrical components, trouble shooting, pulling cable, construction work, utilizing power tools, equipment operation, installation of pull boxes, conduit, poles and foundations.
  • Assist in measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit, splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
  • Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components. Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED, additional education a plus.
  • 1 – 2 years of related experience preferred
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to meet driving requirements, CDL Class B license preferred.

  • Connect electrical conductors to power services to energize equipment.
  • Test devices to ensure functionality.
  • Diagnoses and repairs hardware, software, and system issues.
  • Prepare logs to track the technical status of the system, installation, and maintenance activities with accuracy and completeness.

Performs on-site or in-house installation, integration, servicing and/or repair of communication equipment and network. This job may include any aspect of field support and installation including: troubleshooting and repair of ITS and traffic signal equipment, systems, and wiring; installation of equipment; upgrades, modifications, programming; documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ability to fusion or mechanically splice SM or MM fiber optic cables and terminate various types of fiber optic connectors (ST, SC, LC)
  • Performs optical continuity and conformance testing
  • Completes reports, logs and performs shift-to-shift communications in accordance with established policies, procedures and local practices.
  • Ability to operate sophisticated electronic test equipment and perform daily tests, checks and maintenance of splicing and testing equipment.
  • Reports technical status of system with accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in installation of ITS components of transportation systems, including the following:

    • Traffic signals

Job Location: Lake City, FL

Job Summary:  This position performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

  • Receives incoming goods and products into stock, including boxing, storing, etc..
  • Logs all incoming material to facilitate tracking of all packages.
  • Performs cycle counts as required.
  • Performs a wide variety of computer-based transactions to support inventory activity.
  • Makes local pick-ups and deliveries as required/assigned.
  • Offloads/loads trucks as required.
  • Prepares and ships all packages (foreign, domestic and hazardous material) via FedEx, UPS and DHL, as required.
  • Palletizes/secures/labels all freight material (over 150 pounds) for shipment.

Juniper / Cisco Infrastructure Technician: InLine is seeking an additional field engineer to work on Juniper, Cisco, and other infrastructure technologies projects. Candidate must have a good working knowledge of Juniper and Cisco platforms (including a current Cisco or Juniper Certification at the Associate Level) but must also be comfortable performing projects with other types of infrastructure technologies and manufacturers in Firewall, Wireless, Bandwidth Management, MPLS, BGP, IP Telephony, NAC, and other technology areas. Candidates who have cross experience in server technologies will be looked at very favorably as our projects tend to be very multi-disciplinary in nature. This position is based in our Jackson, MS office with travel.
